What are the adaptations of fern plant?

Ferns need standing water in order for their sperm cells to swim to their egg cells. Like other plants without seeds, they need that abundant supply of water to reproduce.

What are the adaptations of fern plant?
Depends on the type of fern. Some live outside all year in some pretty cold climates. Others don't , especially in pots and must be wintered over inside. They do shed and make a real mess, they go a little dormant, like it cool, less water and don't look so prety. I throw mine out and buy again in the spring. Too messy!!!
