I loved that book! I found it very intruiging and hard to put down. Not to mention well written!

I agree that it was very sad=( Death is awful because it can't be taken back.

On a lighter note, I loved the characters. I thought that you really got to know them and their personality. I also thought that the book was very unpredictable, but not in a bad way! I mean that it wasn't one of those boring books that you could easily predict what would happen! And it definately was a pretty dramatic book.

Despite some sadness, that "Where the Red Fern Grows" is definately one of my favorite books! A true classic=)

EDIT: I've seen the movie as well, but it's not as good as the book!
Reply:hmm i throught it was dramatic too especially near the middle to end...it kind of started stupidly lol.i havent read it since like 6th grade or so (im in my 2nd semster at college now) but it is very good.

i also loved the outsiders,of mice and men and other books teachers made us read.

first book that ever brought tears to my eyes.

Its a book with alot of heart.

i was very disappointed when old Dan and little Anne died.

It was such a sad story and yet i felt that it was too an inspiring book.
Reply:I read it over three decades ago (really!) and I can still remember crying (sobbing, actually) after I finished it. I even went to see the film and cried all over again.

Terribly sad, just like Old Yeller.
