Best way to attach an elk horn fern to a board?

I've got an elk horn fern currently growing in a pot and I thought it might look nicer on a piece of wood.

What is the best way to attach it to the wood?

To mount a staghorn fern, place the fern on a hardwood board that is wider than the basal fronds. Place a pile of sphagnum moss just below center and and sit the fern on top, allowing the basal fronds to come in contact with the medium while the bud sits just above. Attach the fern securely with wire to the board and then hang in a suitable position.

be sure the board or piece of wood has a sturdy hanger attached before you start with the plant....

there was a big one at our nursery that lived in a tree outside all summer.... they had a 'shelf' set up in the tree to hold it...and when it came in for the winter, one whole wall of the green house belonged to it....monster!!...
Reply:Well depending on the pot ....you can drill a hole through the side of the pot and use a screw to attach it to the pot....If it's a ceramic pot soak it for a while....Remembering the drill very slow....

Use a piece of chicken wire or any wire ...wrap it around the put and nail or screw it to the board first...then stick in the pot

Use a wire basket...sit it in the basket and hang up
