How do you get rid of bugs on a fern?

I recently purchased a fern and now I notice little flies all around the soil. How do I get rid of these things???

How do you get rid of bugs on a fern?
get a spray bottle dosent matter what size and mix a very small amount of dish soap and spray on leaves and soil it only takes a drop or so depending on how big the plant is bugs dont like the smell or taste of it....
Reply:Put some rubbing alcohol into a spray bottle, and spray the leaves and soil. This works for aphids and other small insects that infest potted plants. It will not harm the fern, but will kill the bugs. It will also be safe for pets or outdoor animals that may encounter the plant, as the alcohol will evaporate quickly and won't leave a residue.
Reply:you should ask the idiot that gets rid of carpenter bees with diesel fuel.

sorry for the rant but I will no longer answer any bug questions.

Seams idiots are in abundance on this board so I will refrain from the silly questions.

GOT A BUG PROBLEM DEAL WITH IT.
