How is the value of a staghorn fern determined?
Size and health of the plant

  1. My moronic neighbor destroyed my 15-20 year old staghorn that was securely nestled in the center of a tree behind my condo. It was healthy and hasn't budged through 4 hurricanes. I am desperately sad this busy body couldn't possibly see the beauty and value of this gorgeous plant which has had a lovely symbiotic relationship with frogs, ants, snakes, lizards and the myriad of other critters who have used the plant as their home or shelter over the years. It has also been a spongy oasis sustaining amphibians and reptiles during seasonal droughts. SO SAD!!!! I would like to behead him with the same tool he murdered my plant with but I have to try and hit this dick where it probably only has meaning to him.... His frickin wallet. Can anyone help me calculate the value of my large healthy old lovely fern? I feel like I have lost a friend and a part of MY ecosystem...why are people so consistently heartless and unconsiderate? Please help me figure this out... Maui.kona@gmail.com Thank you for your help, Melissa
